But as I mentioned, with this setting I mainly have a stable 60 FPS. The image is definitely not blurred and does not hurt the eyes. So the graphic settings are quite sufficient for me and I can do without various beautifying effects. But it’s worth mentioning that my MacBook only has a 13-screen, so lower resolution isn’t as much of a problem here as on a twice-sized monitor. You may now be thinking that the above settings are not much. The graphics setting will not be the highest, but it will suffice My resolution is specifically set at 1440 x 900 pixels, the overall graphics settings at level 4, which is, among other things, the settings recommended to me by the game itself. After a long period of testing, I finally found the optimal display and graphics settings, in which I have stable 60 FPS even in the most demanding areas and large team battles. But I don’t think this is a problem with a game like WoW.
Of course, you must not count on playing the highest details while maintaining the original screen resolution. To be honest, I was really pleasantly surprised by how the M1 World of Warcraft chip handles. First, I would like to address what I mentioned at the end of the previous paragraph – performance.
So, after about a year of playing WoW on a MacBook Pro with M1, I decided to bring you this article, in which I would like to focus on whether it is even possible to enjoy this game on a “working laptop”.
2020 0 World of Warcraft on Mac with M1: Can you play it or not?
The legendary World of Warcraft has received full support from Macs with the M1 I made this decision precisely because WoW offers native Apple Silicon support, and because I assumed that the M1 chip would have enough power for enjoyable gaming.
But that changed about a year ago, when I bought a 13 ″ MacBook Pro with M1 and decided to try to return to World of Warcraft. Originally, I started playing WoWko on a classic Windows computer, but as I gradually got older and bought a Mac, I just didn’t want to move to my desktop computer and I stopped playing. Personally, I’m a big fan of World of Warcraft, and even though the biggest boom is probably (unfortunately) over, there are still a lot of players playing – including me. One such title that was among the first to offer native Apple Silicon support is the legendary game World of Warcraft. Even so, more and more titles are being created that you can also play on your Mac. Of course, developers still prefer to focus on Windows, where the game base is incomparably larger. But one such reason is still here, and that is the availability of games for macOS. Therefore, Mac performance can no longer be used as a justification for not being able to play games on them. In addition, there are currently top M1 Pro, Max or Ultra chips, which of course can “start” games even better than devices with the classic M1. The new data disc for World of Warcraft may be called DragonflightĪpple’s latest computers, which have M1 chips, can actually offer enough power to run newer games on them.
